Throughout Battles in Time's three year run, the trading cards were always provided inside foil packs as most are, with the only exception being the Adventurer set which was introduced inside clear plastic and instead made use of a double-sided "title card" to illustrate the stand alone set. Throughout the cards' history the packs themselves usually contained 9 cards, 10 if there was a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card inside though some contained 12 cards. The packs containing 12 cards were the joint packs, "Exterminator and Annihilator", and "Ultimate Monsters and Invader", as well as Devastator packs which were attached to the magazines. In total, there were 15 variations of packs produced by GE Fabbri and each of the designs are shown below.
Sealed boxes are hard to come by if you are looking for anything other than Invader. But here is what they look like if youre aiming to find them!
Test Set Exterminator (Says 85 in a set, and Not to be Sold Separately (NSS) also the pack has no foil showing, it is all printed giving a duller look, in addition, lists the website as "www.doctorwhocards.com")
Retail Exterminator Pack which shows that there are 275 cards in a set and is barcoded for retail sale. This pack is printed with more visible foil compared to the test set pack giving a brighter look. The website shown now says www.battlesintime.com.
Retail Exterminator Pack which shows that there are 275 cards in a set and is labelled not to be sold seperately. These packs were attached to the Battles in Time magazines.
Exterminator & Annihilator packs which were exclusively attached to magazines and therefore were not sold individually. These packs contained details for both sets together stating there are "375 cards in the Exterminator AND Annihilator sets for example."
Retail Annihilator Pack which shows that there are 100 cards in a set and is barcoded to allow for retail sale.
Retail Invader Pack which shows that there are 275 cards in a set and is barcoded to allow for retail sale.
Invader Pack which were issued with magazines thereby stating "Not To Be Sold Seperately" where the barcode should be.
Ultimate Monsters and Invader packs which were exclusively attached to magazines and therefore were not sold individually. These packs contained details for both sets together stating there are "450 cards in the Ultimate Monsters and Invader sets for example."
Retail Ultimate Monsters Pack which shows that there are 225 cards in a set and is barcoded to allow for retail sale.

Retail Devastator Pack which shows that there are 250 cards in a set and is barcoded to allow for retail sale.

Dalek vs Cybermen pack featuring the Cyberman which were only available with the Daleks vs Cybermen Special and contained the exclusive cyberman cards.
Dalek vs Cybermen pack featuring the Daleks and were only available with the Daleks vs Cybermen Special and contained the exclusive Dalek cards.
Adventurer pack featuring the characters from the Sarah Jane Adventures and were only available with issue 63 and were in a clear cellophane pack and using a title card.
