The Daleks vs Cybermen (DvC) series was a special, standalone bonus set released exclusively alongside the Daleks vs Cybermen Special issue of the official magazine.
The magazine itself featured an iconic "flip" design: a prominent Dalek cover on one side, which could be flipped over to reveal a dedicated Cyberman cover on the reverse.
The master set consists of 24 cards in total, distributed across specialized 'Dalek' and 'Cyberman' booster packs. The set architecture broke standard release rules by opting for unique textures instead of traditional card stock:
The 16 "Commons": Cards 01 through 16 were technically designated as Commons, but they were entirely printed on a striking, shiny metallic foil (a finish usually reserved for Rare cards).
The 8 "Rares": The final cards in the checklist were designated as Rares due to a unique, textured "wave" foil overlay. These cards featured multi-image lenticular designs (with 4 distinct images across the variants), bringing the complete set total to 24 cards.
In addition to the card packs, this special issue included a complete, standalone Daleks vs Cybermen board game. The magazine came packed with everything required to play right out of the magazine, including:
A custom-designed folding game board in the centre of the magazine
A pair of gaming dice
Plastic card stands to turn your physical trading cards into playable game pieces on the board
