Adventurer Set

The Adventurer Series was a special, 10-card standalone mini-set released exclusively with Issue 62 of the official magazine. The set arrived sealed in a clear plastic wrap affixed to the magazine cover.

When the publication run proved successful enough to be extended well beyond its original 52-issue planned lifecycle, the design team used the opportunity to expand the trading card universe into the popular spin-off show, The Sarah Jane Adventures. Given the frequent television crossovers between the two shows, this set allowed fans to finally integrate Sarah Jane Smith's team into their wider Battles in Time games.

Set Composition

The mini-set consisted of exactly 10 playable cards plus one unnumbered promotional cover card.

Unlike the main expansions, there was no complex rarity distribution here: all 10 core cards were designated as Common (C). The checklist was numbered with a unique SJA prefix (SJA01 to SJA10) and featured characters, monsters, and gadgets spanning from the pilot episode, Invasion of the Bane, all the way through to the Series 2 finale, Enemy of the Bane.
