Jumbo Cards

As stated in the Retroduction section, a new series of Doctor Who: Battles in Time products was announced on 6 October 2025 through a joint press release from BBC Studios and Heathside Trading. The new collection was distributed through the updated Master Replicas storefront. The Retroduction Set was presented as a commemorative release marking 20 years since the launch of the original Battles in Time collection, which began with the Exterminator Test Set in 2006.

The Retroduction release also introduced the first Jumbo card of the 2026 Battles in Time range, numbered 012 Dalek. The card differs from the standard 012 Dalek card in several respects. While the standard card is part of the 80-card Retroduction checklist, the Jumbo version was produced with a foil finish. It also retained the original black Dalek icon, whereas the corresponding standard Retroduction card uses the revised Dalek icon with a white background.

The Jumbo card was supplied in a protective plastic sleeve. It is approximately 150% the dimensions of a standard Battles in Time card, making it substantially larger while retaining the general proportions of the original cards.

A physical comparison also reveals an unusual dimensional relationship between the two formats. Two standard Battles in Time cards can be placed side-by-side, with their long edges aligned, and fit within the approximate width and height of the Retroduction Jumbo card when the standard cards are positioned horizontally. This appears to be a consequence of the Jumbo card's dimensions rather than a stated design feature.
