Throughout the original Battles in Time run, the trading cards were primarily distributed in sealed foil booster packs. The main exception was the Adventurer set, which was supplied in a clear plastic wrapper rather than a conventional foil booster pack. The Adventurer set also used a double-sided title card to identify the standalone collection.
Standard Battles in Time booster packs generally contained nine cards. Packs containing a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card contained an additional card, bringing the total to ten.
Several releases used larger 12-card configurations. These included:
Exterminator and Annihilator joint packs.
Invader and Ultimate Monsters joint packs.
Devastator packs supplied with certain issues of the magazine.
Across the original GE Fabbri production, 15 different booster-pack designs have been identified. The various designs are documented below.
2026 Revival Packs
The return of Battles in Time in 2026 introduced new booster-pack designs through the Retroduction and Obliterator collections.
Obliterator also introduced separate Limited Edition and Unlimited Edition packaging. The two editions use distinct pack designs and are further differentiated by their corresponding display-box designs.
These modern packs therefore form a separate group of packaging variations from the 15 pack designs produced during the original GE Fabbri run.
